‘Funny or Die’ Throwback Thursday with ‘Game of Thrones’ Maisie Williams

Today, we take you back to when Maisie Williams took over “Funny or Die,” as we countdown to the 7th season of “Game of Thrones.”

Remember when Game of Thrones star Maisie Williams took over Funny or Die Twitter account?

Well, when she did, I was lucky enough to have her answer some of my questions!

Natalie Dormer never did get a social media account, but Mrs. Dormer did shout out this fan page.

Game of Thrones Season 6 finale left Queen Cersei on the Iron Throne and Arya Stark with a new metamorphosing super power. I think Arya will be the one to kill Cersei and claim the throne for the Stark Family.

GOTs new season is scheduled  for 2017 and with their 12 Emmys wins, I just wanted to do my part to celebrate the obsessiveness I have with the show and share my fan theory about the character Arya Stark upcoming success.

What do you think will happen in Season 7?

Megyn Kelly’s Ratings Hit “Possible All-Time Low for ‘Today’”

Megyn Kelly’s ratings continue to go down the tubes.

NBC’s big gamble on Megyn Kelly taking over Tamron Hall’s old timeslot continues to not pay off the way they expected.

According to Page Six, producers were hoping for a ratings bonanza with Harvey Weinstein accuser Lauren Sivan on “Megyn Kelly Today” last week but only ended up with lower ratings, as viewership slipped from 0.77 ratings points on Monday to 0.54 ratings points on Tuesday.

“It’s a possible all-time low for ‘Today.’ It may even be lower than her [Fox] cable show. [NBC News president] Noah [Oppenheim] and [NBC News and MSNBC chairman] Andy [Lack] are in big trouble,” a source told Page Six.

Another source added, “That’s a big drop. They have to turn this around.”

Kelly also appeared for the first time on MSNBC earlier this week.

“It’s unthinkable. You don’t see Matt [Lauer] or Savannah [Guthrie] on MSNBC … It’s not a good sign.”

Kelly’s poor ratings have also affected “Kathie Lee & Hoda,” Page Six reported after Kelly’s hour of “Today” was down 32 percent as compared to a year ago, while “Kathie Lee & Hoda” fell 26 percent. Insiders are reportedly blaming that on Kelly’s “weak lead-in.”

But on Friday, an NBC insider insisted: “Megyn’s having a strong week. Her numbers are up double-digits versus last week,” and “NBC News anchors appear frequently on MSNBC.”

ABC is Still the best fit For the Marvel Model says Marvel Head of TV Jeph Loeb

While Marvel’s cinematic universe is a pretty well-oiled hit machine at this point but their television shows has suffered a few missteps of late.

Pascal Mnyika

The glory days of Marvel comics have been questionable of late despite being a big hit to fans from all over the world over the years after the release of the Marvel’s Inhumans during the weekend.

Marvel’s Inhumans had been termed as the worst thing it has done in years after the show earning an estimated $1.5 million, despite airing on 400 IMAX screens.  This may suggest a downfall in one of the biggest cinema companies in the world but considering its expansion of late and the promising Thor: Ragnarok with The Defenders  being met with good-natured ambivalence and Iron Fist was greeted with derision.

Marvel television has grown and is expected to continue growing after expanding to Netflix, FX, and Hulu.  Despite this growth, Marvel’s Head of TV Jeph Loeb reiterated that ABC is still the “mothership” of Marvel’s television slate when addressing comic book resources:

“Absolutely. Absolutely. Obviously these aren’t things I can talk about. But look, as it is with every single one of the networks that we have gotten with that this is with, and whether it’s Fox or it’s FX or it’s Freeform, or it’s Hulu, or it’s Netflix, ABC is always going to be our mothership. It is a Disney-owned network. We are a Disney-owned corporation and we’re a good fit for each other,” he expressed.

Loeb further explained why  ABC is still the best fit for the Marvel model:

“We speak a lot of the same language and the kinds of things that are important to them, which is people rising up again adversity; real emotion; a strong female character, but also a strong sense of family and questions of identity. All of those things are key to being a successful ABC show, but they’re also key to being a Marvel show. So in that way we’re going to go and see what happens along the way,” he concluded.
