Today is a big day for football playing hopefuls looking to gain a coveted spot on Baltimore’s newly formed arena football team the Baltimore Brigade.
Today is the first open tryout for those interested in joining the team. nearly 100 prospective players pre-registered for today’s tryouts at Banner Field in South Baltimore. Baltimore based sports apparel and equipment company, Under Armour, is one of the Baltimore Brigade’s sponsors. FX Studios, a wellness company that operates Under Armour’s Performance Center by FX Studios is the official training sponsor of the Baltimore Brigade.
Pre-registration online was $75, those who show up today to register in person will pay $100. While everyone can’t make the team, every participant will receive a Brigade free agent combine t-shirt. Participants will be put through rigorous traditional combine drills including individual and group drills.
The Brigade hopefuls will be on the field between 9 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. today, if you’re local, stop past and take a peek. The Baltimore Brigade’s first game is in Washington, DC in April against the Washington Valor followed up by a home game. Full season tickets are going for as low as $8 a game currently.
