Every year around this time, businesses pop up all over the place trying to capitalize on your refund dollars.
Rapid refund this. Rapid refund that.
“Put your refund on a new car.”
“We’ll get you the BIGGEST refund you ever had!”
“Get your refund in 10 minutes or less…plus get a free chicken box with drink on the side while you wait.”
Even Magic wanted us to get in on a Rapid Refund with Jackson Hewitt…yes Magic Johnson promoted the dependency of a refund check to Black people.
Well Game’s up next. In this commercial, he’s trying to reach out to Black folks in Compton through what they love most, money and food.
He promises the first 1000 people to get their tax returns filed by February 15th free breakfast. Hmmmm…sounds like a winner. You get your head beat in for the Tax Service charging you $500+ for a rapid refund then get a free breakfast a McDonald’s off the dollar menu.
