A gunman has killed 32 people, and injured 29 others Monday morning on the campus of Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, VA. A total of 33 deaths including the gunmen himself. This is the second time this school year that a gunman has terrorized Virginia Tech\’s campus. There were two shootings which happened at around 7:15 am ET and 10 am ET this morning. They took place at two different parts of the campus and ballistic tests show the same gun was used in both shootings.
The gunmen, said to be named 23 year old Korean punk named Cho Seung-Hui was a South Korean native who was a senior English major at Virginia Tech. Seung-Hui was heavily armed who came into the classroom and opened fire and shot people throughout the building. He reportedly lined up students and shot them before he took his own life. Accounts say he was looking for his girlfriend. Investigators believe he Seung-Hui did not have any accomplices.
This will go down as the worst shooting in U.S. history.
The shootings came three days after a bomb threat on Friday forced the cancellation of classes in three buildings. Also, the 100,000-square-foot Torgersen Hall was evacuated on April 2 after police received a written bomb threat, according to The Roanoke Times.
