Seriously… the man has had more than 5 years to deal with this child pornography case, what more could he ask for? Well, it looks like he needed more time because he didn’t show up for his court date on Wednesday and has been ordered by the judge to be present in Cook County Circuit Court by 9 am CST on Thursday or face having a warrant out for his arrest.
R. Kelly is allowed to leave the state with the court’s permission and had apparently been complying with all of the rules. His attorney, Edward Genson, said R. Kelly was en route to Chicago from a tour stop in Sacramento. The buses were pulled over for speeding in Utah on Tuesday. The officers noticed that R. Kelly’s bus driver had not filled out the log books properly to accurately record how long he had been driving which led to an 8 hour delay.
An hour and a half after the hearing was scheduled to start, Genson said Kelly was still two hours away and asked for a continuance. R. Kelly is obviously a genius. If it ever looks like I’m on my way to jail, I’ll definitely call R. Kelly and see if I can get some advice.
