The rapper’s contribution for documentary Tyson, which explored boxing champion Mike Tyson’s rise to fame and inner demons, is to be one of 63 contenders up for an Oscar for the ‘Original Song’ category.

According to Vibe, the Academy will screen Nas’s ‘Legendary’ on January 12, 2010.

The nominees will be announced on February 2 at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Los Angeles, CA.

Good luck Nas.

The Oscars will be televised live on Sunday, March 7, 2010 at the city’s Kodak Theatre.
