Why You, Why Us: The Real Value of a TUT Internship
Once upon a time, aspiring journalists could take entry-level jobs with newspapers or magazines and work their way up. Today, every rookie has to build his or her own ladder of success in a fiercely competitive new-media marketplace.
And that’s where TheUrbanTwist.com can help.
TheUrbanTwist.com’s Internship Program is a three-month, online enrichment class for undergraduate and graduate-level journalism students. Participants receive thorough schooling in the nuances of 21st-century reporting, with an option to earn full or partial course credit for their work.
We’re looking for Journalism, Marketing, and Photography interns. All positions are unpaid but will allow you access to the entertainment industry and are great for your resume.
Potential interns are required to email a resume and include a portfolio of any of their previous work (published or unpublished). Candidates are preferred (but do not necessarily have to be) enrolled in a two or four year school while focusing on one of the said internship positions. Internships typically last throughout the semester but can extend beyond that depending on performance.
