The Old New Jersey Nets are now Officially Jay-Z’s Brooklyn Nets

Even though the NBA is going through its lockout, Jay-Z is more than eager to introduce his Brooklyn Nets to the World…and hopefully steal away some fans from the Knicks in the process.

Even though there’s a lockout, it can’t stop a team from changing its name, as the New Jersey Nets officially became the Brooklyn Nets.

Brooklyn native Jay-Z, who is part owner of the franchise, plans to celebrate the grand opening of the new arena by doing a series of eight concerts.  The Barclays Center is set to officially open on Sept. 28, 2012 with the first concert and will have three weeks of special events before the basketball season starts.

The people at Good Day New York caught up with the rap mogul and discussed intimate topics revolving around his upcoming transition into fatherhood. See what he has to say when asked about his feelings toward becoming a dad, his wife, Beyonce’s pregnancy cravings, as well as the gender of his child.
