Pop star Beyonce is soon to be honored in her hometown Houston Texas, with a monument. Armdeonce Ventures are behind the statue which will highlight the life of the singer and showcase memorabilia from her thriving career.
“There are very many people who get honored when they die, but the goal is to honor the people who are still breathing,” said Marcus Mitchell the CEO of the company. He added that he felt it was time for the Grammy winning singer to be honored.
The monument will be constructed like a huge hall where doors will be open to the public, and anyone who donated towards the cause gets a personal nameplate. The monument will resemble a mini museum, with pieces from Beyonce’s wardrobe and clips from her days with Destiny’s Child showcased within the establishment.
The project has received support from the Texan community, and proceeds that will be collected from the site will go to charity; including Beyonce’s very own Survivor foundation which offers relief to individual stricken with natural disasters and Music for America. The project is likely to be completed on her birthday.
What do you guys think? Do you think Beyonce deserves a statute at this point in her career?
