Whether you’re in a long term relationship or a new fling, kissing will happen today. Most of the time you don’t even think about. It’s something that is so natural to us and when we kiss the one we love our world stops.
But how did this act of affection become a natural human behavior?
Vaughn Bryant, an anthropologist at Texas A&M University claims that kissing originally happened by accident. Kissing was initially done by sniffing and then eventually people found that kissing on the lips felt much, much better.
Who would ever want to rub noses with someone? I mean c’mon now. The grossest of things come out of our honkers and the last thing we want on this special day is a cold.
Sheril Kirschenbaum, author of “The Science Of Kissing”, states that smell used to be the most importan human sense. By smelling each other, we were able to determine our partners mood, health, and social status.
If you have a Valentine today, treat him or her to a special time. Do some of their favorite things. Hold their hand. Tell him or her how much they mean to you. Make him or her laugh and don’t forget to rub your nose all up in their face and smell them.
