Solange Knowles covers this month’s issue of the Rollercoaster Magazine. The singer speaks about enjoying her privacy, being an aunt to Blue Ivy and she discloses that she will not give Beyonce parenting advice.
Solange explained that it is different being an aunt as opposed to being a mother. She however said that she feels a bond with Blue Ivy that cannot simply be put into words. “I think babies in general are so lovable – and my sister’s baby, Blue, is so beautiful. She is really a beautiful little baby. It’s really special to have a niece because I have a son, so I get to have a little girl too.”
Solange however explained that she will not give Beyonce parenting advice because “it’s actually the most annoying thing when you’re a new mom and you’re getting so much advice from other mothers! You really just have to feel it out for yourself. But she’s my best friend and we talk at least every other day.”
Solange also explained that she enjoys her privacy and being able to walk her son to school every day. She also says that Beyonce is her role model and she was able to learn from her big sister by watching her rise in fame and success in the industry.
