The hit show, The Bible, on the History Channel is making waves for more than the series’ surprising success. It just so happens that the Devil’s character bears an uncanny resemblance to an older, more evil version of President Barrack Obama. Twitter was lit ablaze when the Devil debuted in the show strolling onto the scene with all of his wickedness.
Now, I’ve heard some refer to Obama as the Devil, but that’s usually when I’m scanning through channels and make an unexpected stop on Fox News.
Glenn Beck helped get the ball rolling when he tweeted:
Anyone else think the Devil in #TheBible Sunday on HIstory Channel looks exactly like That Guy? pic.twitter.com/nTpYRQ522p

“That Guy” happens to be Barrack Obama.
Both the History Channel and Producer Mark Burnnett responded to the controversy.
The History Channel released a statement reading, “History channel has the highest respect for President Obama… It’s unfortunate that anyone made this false connection.”
This is utter nonsense,” Burnett said. “The actor who played Satan, Mehdi Ouzaani, is a highly acclaimed Moroccan actor. He has previously played parts in several Biblical epics — including Satanic characters long before Barack Obama was elected as our President.”
Okay, so that’s their explanation. But the next question is… how does Ouzaani feel about constantly being cast as Satan? He must be really rude.
