The Miami Heat had to hear the noise from the outside during the last few days after their game 1 loss to the San Antonio Spurs last Thursday. And like they have done most of the time they have faced adversity, they responded in a big way by defeating the Spurs 103-84 in game 2 of the NBA Finals. The series is now tied 1-1 as it heads back to Texas.
What ended up being a game decided by double digits was actually a close game late into the third quarter, and then the Heat caught fire as they went on a 30-5 run from the end of the third quarter into the fourth quarter. Thanks to the shooters on the outside hitting threes, and a monumental block by LeBron James that is sure to be a top 10 play on ESPN’s Sportscenter, the Heat were ultimately able to pull away from the veteran savvy Spurs.
LeBron says no no no!
Mario Chalmers came up big for the Heat, leading the team in scoring with 19 points.
The Spurs will look to respond in a pivotal game 3 on Tuesday, June 11th.
