Kaley Cuoco, star of the “Big Bang Theory”, tied the knot with tennis player Ryan Sweeting on Dec. 31. The 28-year-old actress got married to the 26-year-old at the Hummingbird Nest Ranch, located just outside of Los Angeles.
Cuoco posted a picture of herself on her Instragram account early Wednesday morning. She wore a Vera Wang strapless pink dress and was kissing the groom with the caption “Yep 🙂 #thesweetings”.
Cuoco and Sweeting were dating for just three months before they got engaged. Several days after that they went to the 2013 Emmy Awards together as a couple.
The actress was a guest for the “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” where she talked about how her and Sweeting. She said it was through a close mutual friend after she dated Henry Cavill, Superman actor, for two weeks.
Cuoco said she didn’t really want to meet anyone, and was taking time away from dating.
However, Cuoco said friends convinced her to meet Sweeting when he visited Los Angeles. She said after he experienced an injury during his tennis match, she ended up caring for him, which then led to them falling in love.
Cuoco said she “nursed” Sweeting back to health. And, after the second day of being together, she knew he was the one. She said it was magic. They grew up together with the same folks and had similar family friends but just never met.
The actress said she feels like she’s known Sweeting her entire life. It may seem crazy on paper but this relationship works for them, Cuoco said.
This is the first marriage for both Cuoco and Sweeting.
