It’s been nearly four years since Jack Bauer defended the Counter Terrorist Unit on Fox’s acclaimed 24 series, and now Kiefer Sutherland will reprise his role on the network starting in May.
24: Live Another Day — which will be set in London, four years after the events of season 8, will kick off on May 5 at 8 p.m. ET on Fox with a two-hour episode. It will move to its normal time slot of 9 p.m. ET the following week.
With only 12 episodes scheduled to air, the series will loosely follow the show’s signature real-time concept. Each episode will make up an hour in the same day.
It’ll be interesting to see if Jack Bauer can still get things done in half the time as before.
It was recently announced that Australian actress Yvonne Strahosvki (Chuck, Dexter) has signed on to play CIA agent Kate Morgan. She will join returning cast members Kiefer Sutherland (Jack Bauer), Mary Lynn Rajskub (Chloe O’Brien), Kim Raver (Audrey Raines) and William Devane (James Heller).
It’s also rumored that character Tony Almeida (played by Carlos Bernard) could be on board too. “24” producer and writer David Fury revealed in a recent tweet a recent meet up with Bernard, telling fans to “read into that what you will.”
