Adichie was saying Lupita’s existence was very important while expressing her personal adoration for the actress and went on to talk about Lupita Nyong’o’s presence citing her looks,her dark skin and natural hair by labelling them as spectacular. She also added that her looks challenge a typical Hollywood aesthetic.
On a speech that Lupita gave last week at Essence Magazine’s Black Women in Hollywood Luncheon she talked about accepting her beauty as it is and not as it should be.
