An Alaskan reporter quit her job live on air after presenting an edited package on the evening news.
Charlo Greene presented an edited package on the evening news about the campaign to legalize marijuana. After the presentation, the reporter revealed her identity as the owner of a medicinal marijuana business and quit live on air.
The reporter swore and walked away while cameras were still rolling, to the amusement of an Anchor who was left fumbling before he apologized to the viewers and went to a commercial break.
Charlo Green’s video of her quitting has now been seen by more than 2 million people on Youtube.
Here is what she had to say: “Now everything you heard is why I, the actual owner of the Alaska Cannabis Club, will be dedicating all of my energy for fighting for freedom and fairness which begins with legalizing marijuana here in Alaska. “And as for this job, well, not that I have a choice but, f— it, I quit.”
While Greene’s stunt was being discussed on CNN, her Indiegogo fund to raise $5,000 to campaign for Alaska’s marijuana legalisation act had barely made it past the halfway mark. She had yet to raise the full amount by the end of the business day on the East Coast.
