The California Department of Corrections released photos of Phil Spector who was was convicted for a second-degree murder in the 2003 shooting of actress Lana Clarkson and sentenced for 19 years to life.
The Photos show a bald sad looking 73-year-old Spector staring straight into the camera on Oct. 28, 2013 and the other pic shows a bald smiling Spector dated July 24, 2013. The fact remains that age has definitely caught up with the once flamboyant music legend known for his infamous collection of curly wigs, which were banned during his conviction in 2009 as officials feared that they could be used to hide contraband.
On Tuesday Terry Thornton California Department of Corrections spokeswoman said that the October photo was taken when Spector was moved to the prison system’s huge California Heath Care Facility in Stockton which provides medical and mental health care to the state’s sickest inmates, including those with chronic conditions.
Thornton said she couldn’t reveal details of Spector’s health because of state medical privacy regulations.
The Music legend is well known for his “Wall of Sound” approach to music that revolutionized the music world in the 1960s.
