People Magazine has reported that Jay-Z and Beyoncé have renewed their vows (again). The couple has undoubtedly felt the pressure to ‘make nice’ after months of break up rumors, and impending divorce gossip, plagued the otherwise flawless union.
A source claims that while they did have their troubles, they’ve decided to start over and work through their issues. “They did have major problems,” said the source. “But they worked it out and they’ve renewed their vows.”
Could one of those ‘major problems’ be the time Beyoncé’s younger sister, Solange, went all battle royale on Jay-Z in an elevator following this year’s Met Ball? Maybe. But, as far as we’re concerned, sometimes sh*t just goes down when there’s a billion dollars on an elevator. We totally understand Bey.
And while this vow renewal is a great sign that Jay and Bey are working on their marriage, we can’t help but wonder if this is just the beginning of an inevitable end. This isn’t the first time the Knowles-Carters put, yet another, ring on it. They renewed their vows on their fourth wedding anniversary in April 2010. And, as People reiterates, most celebrity couples who do renew their vows, end up calling it quits and divorce in the end.
Think Heidi Klum and Seal, Nick Cannon and Mariah, Kate and Jon Gosselin, Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez, Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson…you get the idea.
The couple has also been spotted house hunting in Paris, the city of love, which also happens to be where Blue Ivy was conceived. Speaking of the adorable 2-year-old, who stole the show at this year’s MTV awards with a little “Single Ladies” hand wave during Momma Bey’s mini concert, People’s source also states that while the stars’ relationship can be difficult, “…they worked it out for [the sake of] their reputations and for [their 2-year-old daughter] Blue Ivy.”
