The iHeartRadio Awards loves Taylor…and so does Madonna

Madonna and Taylor Swift busted out a surprise duet at this weekend’s iHeartRadio Music Awards.

Broadcast live on NBC from the historic Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, Sunday, March 29, the second annual iHeartRadio Music Awards is still inside the heads of many.

This years festivities featured a list of cheers and jeers that will be remembered for years to come. Not surprisingly, the night belonged to the blonde bombshell Taylor Swift. Not only did the 25-year-old songstress rake up awards for Song of the Year(“Shake It Off“), and best lyrics(“Blank Space”), the West Reading Pennsylvania born songstress also won Artist of the Year.

Just when we thought she was done, the 5’10 hitmaker turned heads once again when she made a surprise guest appearance alongside Madonna for the pop icon’s performance of “Ghosttown”.

A pop ballad, the song was inspired by the imagery of a destructed city after armageddon, and how the survivors carry on with their lives, with love being the only thing they can hold on to.

Released via digital download on March 13, 2015 “Ghosttown”  is the new single from Madonna’s new album Rebel Heart.

Colored coordinated in Black the ladies commanded the stage as they first sat with their backs to each other eventually rising on their feet, side by side. The vibe that they generated was a mixture of old friends, and mother and daughter.

Based on the rave reviews from this dynamic duo, I highly doubt that it will be their last performance together. What’s in store? Stay tuned.
