Celine, hundreds of fans and families were mourning her husband René’s death at a ceremnony that took place at Notre-Dame Basilica in Montreal. Celine was seen wearing a black dress, black coat with black pumps and leather gloves.
Even though she covered her face with a veil, it was obvious that she was still grieving. She was also seen crying and wiping her tears with a white handkerchief.
When classical music was played there, Celine welcomed visitors and gave them hugs and kisses. Celine was accompanied by René’s sons, Patrick and Jean-Pierre, standing beside the open coffin. Celine’s mother, Thérèse, her eldest son, René-Charles, and René’s brother, André, were also present for the visit.
Earlier in the morning, the fans started lining up outside hours before the door was opened. They waited for the visit in order to deliver a final tribute to René.
René Angélil died after a long struggle with throat cancer. Celine Dion’s manager died at his home on Thursday morning local time.
