Vision the Kid serves up quick rhymes over anthem-like beats akin to B.O.B. (without the belief that the Earth is flat — we think.) So, maybe more Kid Cudi?
In his latest project, Fly by Night, the Minneapolis rapper teamed up with his high school producer Peter Netzel AKA DJ Crab Rangoons who chops up beats from the likes of Queen, Bob Seger, Imogen Heap and Albert Hammond, Jr.
And overall, the 7-track project is pretty dope. Songs likes “Fly By Night Moves,” “The Show Must Go On” and “The Angels of Cuba” take the best of classic hip-hop and creates a project that many could enjoy. Vision the Kid is certainly one to look out for in the booming Midwest music scene.
Keep up with Vision the Kid here.
