The presenters for this year’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony have been announced.
Kendrick Lamar will induct N.W.A, while Kid Rock will induct Cheap Trick. They join the Black Keys, Metallica’s Lars Ulrich, and Matchbox Twenty’s Rob Thomas, who have also been tapped to give speeches at the April 8 celebration at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, which also hosted the event in 2014.
The ceremony will be subsequently broadcast on HBO on April 30. The 2016 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductees were chosen by more than 900 voters of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Foundation.
Artists are eligible for inclusion in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 25 years after the release of their first recording.
The public can purchase tickets by visiting Ticketmaster.com.
The ceremony will honor this year’s recently announced Inductees: Cheap Trick, Chicago, Deep Purple, N.W.A., Steve Miller, and Bert Berrns, who will be receiving the Ahmet Ertegun Award for Lifetime Achievement. The Induction Ceremony will premiere on HBO Saturday, April 30th.
