Twitter was in a frenzy as Beyonce released her second visual album, Lemonade. Although tweeters were given ample time ahead of its release, it still managed to blow our collective minds.
Between the not-so-subtle hints at Jay Z’s infidelity, a beautiful showing a celebration of black women and black pain, it was hard to contain our thoughts. Luckily, we didn’t have to. There were also a number of cameos — including a hot twerk session from one of the greatest athletes of all time, Serena Williams and touching poetry from Warsan Shire. It’s no wonder Bey’s sixth solo album has been trending since its premiere at 9 p.m. on HBO. And tweeters didn’t disappoint with the accompanying commentary.
