Mac Gollehon is mixing up salsa with light hints of EDM — and it’s getting us ready to groove into the night for the warmer months.
Aside from music, Gollehon has had a legendary past. As the trumpeter for David Bowie (on “Let’s Dance”) he’s also worked with Duran Duran, Simply Red, Nile Rodgers, Chic, Larry Harlow, Grace Jones and Rick James. He was also nicknamed “Chops” by Miles Davis.
Gollehon, who tours with his band, The Hispanic Mechanics, is geared up to release a 10-track album, later this month on May 20. But in the meantime, newcomers can hear a track from the forthcoming album below.
