Scrapp Deleon’s brother, Love & Hip Hop Atlanta supporting cast member Sas was shot in Phoenix, Arizona Saturday. The rapper/reality show star was in Phoenix to host a mansion party the night he was shot.
Sas, or Lyndon Ahlik Smith, broke the news of his shooting himself on instagram, posting a video and photo from his hospital bed. The picture is gruesome, showing caked up blood where his head had rested in bed. In the video Sas tells his fans “The doctor just told me I got a bullet in the back of my head,” He turned the camera to momentarily show his wound and added, “They said I got a thick skull. Y’all pray for me though. I appreciate all the love and support. God got me. Allah got me. I aint tripping.”
No real details have been released as to when, where or how the rapper ended up with a bullet in his head. Rumor has it that Sas is still living a street kind of lifestyle. His bother Love & Hip Hop Atlanta star Scrapp Deleon was just sentenced to 5 years in prison for drug trafficking.
The family is no stranger to police or the jail system. Scrapp and his mother, Karen King ( KK) were both arrested, along with a friend of Scrapp’s in 2012 after the assault and attempted murder of Lyndon Baines Smith, Sas’s father. King was highlighted on America’s Most Wanted before she was eventually captured.
This is not the first time a cast member of the popular reality show has been shot during the shows ongoing season. During season two, rapper Benzino was shot while heading to attend his mother’s funeral.
It’s a shame, these reality show stars get instant fame and celebrity status thrown at them. They could use these opportunities to better their lives in so many ways, yet so many of them end up in prison, bankrupt or in worse situations. I hope these young aspiring insta celebs finally start to realize that reality t.v. can’t be all they think it is. I miss the days when people obtained and nurtured a real marketable skill and aspired to do more than pop bottles and turn up and be famous for being ratchet.
Wishing Sas a speedy recovery.
