First Lady Michelle Obama has proven again that not only is she the most beautiful First Lady to ever grace the White House, but also the coolest. She slayed Carpool Karaoke.
The ever smiling Mrs. Obama joined The Late Late Show host, James Corden, for Carpool Karaoke Wednesday night. The pair, later joined by rapper/producer Missy Elliot, drove around the nation’s capitol jamming, talking and having fun.
The First Lady sang along to a variety of songs such as “This Is for My Girls,” a song written by Grammy-winner Diane Warren. The song was written to promote education for females around the world. The song features Michelle Obama alongside powerful female artists such as American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson, Missy Elliott, Janelle Monae, Kelly Rowland, Lea Michele and Zendaya,
“This Is for My Girls” was released in March of 2016. The song and proceeds benefit “Let Girls Learn.” The “Let Girls Learn” initiative was launched in 2015 by President and Mrs. Obama to lessen or eliminate the things that block more than 62 million females from being properly educated across the globe.
Mrs. Obama was very excited as she talked about her recent foray into the world of Snapchat. The social media savvy First Lady thinks it’s a good way to hook in teens and youth as she travels to Liberia, Morocco and Spain promoting “Let Girls Learn.”
The First Lady got excited when a classic Stevie Wonder song came on and told the popular late night host to “crank it up” as she let him in on a little fun fact. Mrs. Obama claims to know every Stevie Wonder song on the planet and I’m not even mad at her. The First Lady danced around and sang along to Beyonce’s hit “Single Ladies” and Missy Elliot’s “Get Your Freak On.”
Did I mention she looked effortlessly FLAWLESS the whole time. This woman’s natural beauty and bubbly personality just radiate confidence and happiness. Her easy to relate to nature reminded Me of President Obama’s recent car ride with Jerry Seinfeld during “Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee”
The two term First Lady is looking forward to a more relaxed life after leaving the White House. “The freedom that we’ll get in exchange for the privileges and the luxuries… seven and a half years, that’s enough luxuriating,” the First Lady said “I can make my own grilled cheese sandwich. I can make a mean grilled cheese sandwich.” When asked what she would miss most about the White House Mrs. Obama said “These are people you see every single day, they help you, they love you… To walk away from people you see every single day, that’s going to be hard.”
Mrs. Obama also shared with the late night host that the opportunity to ride shotgun and just rock out was something that rarely happens these day. Being First Lady she is usually chauffeured around. If you think the boys who ask Malia Obama out on dates have a lot to worry about just imagine receiving this tweet at the end of the night.
Thank you @JKCorden and the @latelateshow for bringing @FLOTUS home safe and sound after #CarpoolKaraoke. We were watching @SecretService
The Secret Service was definitely on the job making sure President Obama had nothing to worry about.
