R&B singer MJM’s is ready to release his next album, MJM Parables Part 1.
But in the meantime, the New Jersey native released his single, “Hold You Down.”
In the track, MJM encourages listeners that they were “created for more.” Although it’s very much R&B, there’s plenty of snare action in the song as well. But the song really kicks off as MJM spits a spoken word type rap. Fans of Anderson .Paak’s style may enjoy MJM’s track too.
In a press statement, MJM shared that he’s meant for the music game.
“I believe this is what I was created for: to reach out to those going through situations that most artists don’t touch,” he said. “I’m vulnerable in my approach but really believe all of my music should have a message & provide resolution in some way.”
