After it was announced that the Beauty and the Beast remake would feature Disney’s first ever openly gay character, the network premiered its first gay kissing scene in Monday’s episode of the children’s cartoon “Star vs. the Forces of Evil.”
The scene involves the show’s main character, Star, attending a concert where she is surrounded by kissing couples, two of which are gay.
Martha Cliff, an LGBT advocate, tweeted, “We’re getting there, one kiss at a time.”
