The comedy-drama HBO series Insecure, has two episodes to go in its second season that premiered on 23rd July and the creator Issa Rae, has already pitched a new show. In a video doing round on social media, Rae gives her fans a glimpse on what the show will be about. The trending video on Twitter reveals that the new show will be centered on the lives of black teenagers, an idea that is set to be an epic story if production starts.

In the video she says, “I would like to pitch you a new show about black teenagers. Think 90210 or Gossip Girlfor black kids.” She further reveals the possible titles for the show, “Maybe we call it Ladera Heights 90041. It could be Potomac Maryland 20854. That’s the real s**t.”

Issa’s video also gives her fans an idea of the expected characters in development for the show for a better understanding of the storyline. As expected, she will include a “ho character” in the show as seen in her previous works. She says “I would definitely have a ho character, always on her ho s**t. Just thirsty.” “No goodie-goodies over here, not in this show. Nobody was watching 90210 for Tori Spelling.”

Issa also revealed the character that she will play in the new show and her part in the narrative. “My main character would be Lil Ritche. You know, he’s a young, black rich teen. He’s tired of the access, and the excess…I’m lil Ritchie, I’m so tired of being rich, there’s more to me than this.’ Bars! I just created a song. That’s the theme song.”

The new show will undoubtedly be a major success as Issa Rae seeks to further grow her career by coming up with more exciting series. Rae’s reputation precedes her as she has an impressive over 20 million views for her show with over 260,000 YouTube subscribers.
