Taylor James may not be what hip-hop heads are into these days but he’s surely providing sounds for the cookout.
The Mississippi native provides the smooth track, “Say It’s Me (Living For You)” reminiscent of ’90s R&B with harmonies and a sound that makes you want to side-step. Although the video is clearly a bit cheesy and low-budget, it only adds to the ’90s nostalgia feel, right?
His other track “Good News,” is filled with the same sound including heavy synthesizer sounds, a choir, and a speech in the beginning to take you alllll the way back.
It makes sense that his motto is “because there is an ever growing need for love, peace, and happiness.”
James also has a full project out, Insane, that’s surely won’t disappoint any ’90s R&B fans.
