Trump angry tweets on a daily basis. What a treat, am I right? Please note the HEAVY use of sarcasm.
Well in today’s edition of “Is this real life?,” Trump decided to pick a fight with Civil Rights leader Al Sharpton.
This comes off a week of blatantly racist attacks against the city of Baltimore & their congressman Elijah Cummings.
Trump weirdly claimed that he and Mr. Sharpton had been friends for well over 25 years, right before calling Sharpton a “Troublemaker” and claiming he “Hates Whites and cops.”
As is par for the course, Trump provided no evidence to back his claims…yet again.
This started Round 1 of what is turning out to be an interesting Twitter War. On a side note, I’m not sure I want to live on this planet anymore, you think Elon has any express tickets to Mars?
Twitter wars have become a daily occurrence for this administration, yet I don’t think we’re used to them yet. I know I’m not. We have Sharpton Posting pics of the two together, Trump retweeting and talking about “favors” he’s done for Mr. Sharpton. HOW IS THIS NORMAL?
Oh, and if you think President Trump cited any type of evidence for these “favors” I’ve got a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you.
“Al Sharpton would always ask me to go to his events,” wrote Trump.
“He would say, it’s a personal favor to me. ‘ Seldom, but sometimes, I would go. It was fine. He came to my office in Trump Tower during the presidential campaign to apologize for the way he was talking about me. Just a conman at work!”
Trump held no punches here! Is it true? Maybe, hard to tell with a President who lies nearly as much as he breathes.
This all stems from a strange series of attacks on Baltimore and Elijah Cummings. What a strange timeline to be in? Racist rhetoric in 2019 from the President of the United States. Calling a city (that he is the president of) a “disgusting, rat and rodent-infested mess.” Sigh.
