In his latest EP, The Dream Baby 2, CW Allen dives into “issues and relationships dearest” to him such as “addiction to attention” and “the care God has for us even when we’re in our darkest moments of fear and doubt.”
But it’s the Midwest rapper’s single “Bad Dreams,” comes with a visual. The track is written after Allen’s 19-year-old cousin who was tragically murdered.
“I just felt like It was in a bad dream that I couldn’t wake up from. Unfortunately this is very common reality in Chicago, and my hometown Cleveland,” he said.
The song itself is pretty catchy–especially as he sings “wake me up from this dream/it sounded like a nightmare” in the hook. In the visual, Allen shows a tragic incident of getting shot-and-killed by another person. The video is above.
