Lots of people choose to take vacations in March, April, and May before the heat in summer becomes unbearable. This is especially true of destinations like Miami, where the beautiful sand beaches, funky atmosphere, and world-class dining are great… but it can get really unpleasant for people who don’t particularly like the heat. That’s why a springtime trip is perfect, and the Miami Music Week is the perfect excuse for just such a vacation. This popular electronic music festival runs the week of March 16th to 22nd.
It’s the perfect opportunity to see some stars and get your dance on. Make it a blowout festival experience and find a convenient room reservation anywhere you can before it gets booked up for Miami Music Week. Last year, more than 1,200 acts performed at over 300 events across more than 85 places. As Miami Music Week draws closer, places will fill up and you may need to expand your search outside of downtown out to hotels near Miami airport with vacancies. Whatever you have to do to secure a room, do it! You simply cannot miss this festival! Here’s why.
The lineup for this year’s festival is awesome. Ultra Music Festival takes place during Miami Music Week at Bayfront Park. You can look forward to performances by Flume, Gesaffelstein, Major Lazer, Afrojack, David Guetta, DJ Snake, Armin Van Buuren, and many, many more of the top acts in electronic and dance. You’ll find nonstop action — and this is just one event!
If you’ve never been to Miami, then you should be prepared for Bayfront Park. With the city at its back and the ocean to its front, the park is a slice of land shaped somewhat like a comma. It’s pretty and green, but the most important feature is the amphitheater.
Hotels and parks are the usual places for parties and festivals, but a cruise ship? Well, why not?! They’re the most favored venues among musical acts today. The Biscayne Lady is a streamlined, stunning ship that will be hosting DJ Tennis, Danny Daze, Axel Boman, tINI, Cosmic Gate, and many more.
Miami is full of cool places to hear music such as the Treehouse, where Dirty South and others will be playing. Drop into Mokai to hear Firebeatz and more electronica acts. Of course, there’s the Shore Club, where you’ll get to catch Dada Life.
You can always stay at hotels like the National with its vintage accessories or the Kimpton Epic with its evening wine hour. Neither are fully-booked yet, but staying in one of these hotels offers many finer amenities, and their proximity to the festivities and local attractions is a great boon. All you have to do is walk downstairs to take part in Miami Music Week. How cool is that?
Do you like pool parties? Endless sails on a beautiful boat? A spa experience, bingo, and lots more imaginative events are planned for Miami Music Week. You’ll enjoy the sun, pools, music, food, and dancing. What more could you ask for? Check back on the Miami Music Week, and you’ll be kept updated on more events as the music festival draws near.
Man can’t live by music alone. You have to recharge in more than one way. You’ll want to try some of the chicken and waffles and key lime pie served most everywhere in Miami, the fried chicken at Publix, Shorty’s BBQ pulled pork sandwiches, Bourbon Steak’s French fries and dipping sauces, and some of the most incredible bagel sandwiches in Miami at Bagel Cove. Eat up, and then it’s back to the party.
