Chicago-based rapper Cassie Ray, who’s currently serving in Italy in the United States Air Force, is stepping up his music career with the release of the single “Acting Up.”
The song is melodic as Ray raps about how a girl switches up after getting some Gucci, getting into the VIP section once, and having a bad ex. Ray wants to remedy all of that though. Although Ray’s autotuned voice isn’t the best–it leads to one of the best parts of the song: bouncy raps and a strong flow in the first verse.
“This lifestyle wasn’t meant for you / I had better things that was meant for you / Reservations it was meant for two / I ain’t talkin’ hotel I’m just talkin’ about resorts / I was supposed to have your hand / Pick a change or pick a course,” he raps.
