In Washington State, it is being reported that nine people have died from the coronavirus (COVID-19) with numbers of cases continuing to grow throughout Seattle and spreading to nearby California in the U.S.
It was reported that a total of 5 people, who mostly were elderly or had underlying health conditions, had given in to the virus. The numbers have increased to 9 dead, with 27 confirmed illnesses, including deaths in less than a day since the report was published.
As of March 3 and across 15 states, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention stated there are over 100 cases of the virus in the US. Most of them listed in California and Seattle, where the virus continues to escalate in its Bay Area and the mayor of San Fransisco already declared a state of emergency, in preparedness.
New York joined with two reported cases, as New Hampshire and Georgie join the list most recently in addition to the already mentioned states.
Furthermore, officials worry that hospital staff members are being potentially exposed to the pathogens, and are subsequently, being monitored and screened daily.
