By creating a new line of face masks and donating 3,000 to New York’s homeless, Ja Rule is one of the latest celebrities to step up and make a difference during the coronavirus pandemic.
Ja took to social media to announce his newest venture, and pledge to donate 3,000 to those homeless in NY. The idea stems from a partnership with David Prince, of Prince Management, and a charity group, Knock, Knock Give a Sock.
Speaking with Page Six, Rule adds, “Unfortunately masks are going to be a new way of life. The homeless population are people we often forget about. These are the people who can’t stay home and social distance. But they are part of our society. They are hard working people but now this is becoming a real situation that they cannot dig out of and now families can end up on the street.”
In addition to making masks for the homeless, he’s also producing some for his Iconn brand, which will sell for $20 a pop. He adds, “I wear a mask every day — that’s why I want to make something cool, because the one I had looked whack. I needed something to go with my ‘fit. So I’m gonna have fun with it.”
