A naked woman from Colorado attempted to book a flight at an airport in New Orleans and refused to leave the property was shortly arrested afterwards.
According to the New York Post, 27-year-old Mariel Vergara approached a Spirit Airlines counter at Louis Armstrong International Airport completely naked. She was told by officials that she wouldn’t be able to book her flight due to her lack of clothing. The Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office said in a statement that Vergara pulled up a dress but it was too short to cover her genitals.
After deputies approached her to leave the airport, Vergara ignored their requests and resisted arrest.
Vergara was arrested and booked on obscenity, resisting arrest, assaulting a police officer, and remaining in a building after being forbidden. She was held at the Jefferson Parish Correctional Center on a $5000 bond.
