A rapper, a talented writer, basketball player and now, a high school graduate.
Quavo celebrated by sharing with his Instagram followers that he has “finally” obtained his high school diploma.
He was decked out in his blue cap and gown, also sporting fresh dreads and a grand smile, sharing that he is officially a member of the 2020 graduating class.
“Finally can say I graduated,” his caption said. “High school class of QUARANTINE 2020. We lit.”
For those of you who may be confused, Quavo, who is 29, is clearly not your typical high school senior.
He attended Berkmar High school in Atlanta’s northside years ago and was even a star player, the starting quarterback to be exact, of his high school football team.
At the same time, the Migos was formed but Quavo still played football and went on to hold the record for the most passes in one game at his school, according to High Snobiety.
Despite his athletic abilities, Quavo dropped out of school a few months before graduating, so that smile really is indicative of a full circle moment.
Quavo proudly claimed Berkmar High in his caption. He asked his followers, “What college should I go to?” And added that he was going to celebrate by dropping a song Thursday night.
Quavo seemed to receive a lot of support from his fans celebrating the good news. Many mentioned that it was never too late to achieve such an accomplishment while others shared they were inspired by Quavo’s perseverance.
We would like to congratulate Quavo as well for championing the importance of getting an education, even when you’re a millionaire.
We look forward to his journey and self-growth.
