Reportedly, the Los Angeles Lakers are “looking forward to reconvening” the custom of visiting the White House to party their NBA championship win once Joe Biden takes office.
Chris Haynes, Senior NBA insider for Yahoo Sports says the Lakers are seemingly open to resuming the tradition of heading up to the White House and meeting with the President after winning the 2020 NBA Finals this past fall.

Haynes reports, “Members of the franchise—from players to management—see it as a pleasure and an honor to have their accomplishment recognized by the incoming president, but reconvening the tradition this season shall depend on logistics, sources said.”

Since Trump has been in office, winning teams have either moved up their visit to occurred before Trump’s succession or totally precluded the invitation to visit and meet with him and White House staffers.
The 2020 Champions are hoping to restart the tradition with President-elect Joe Biden.
