Floyd Mayweather and 50 Cent being close with each other just a few years ago now seems like a crazy idea.
The boxing champion and the rapper continue to trade virtual punches nowadays. However, Floyd Mayweather seems to be lastly open to settling the score with his former friend in the ring.
50 Cent lately made mention that he’d love to square up with Floyd during an interview with V-103 Atlanta’s “The Morning Culture,” but he stated weight class as the main concern stopping on a full on brawl between the former pals.
Clearly he’s been listening. Floyd basically said in an Instagram post today that 50 can catch these hands right after he fights social media influencer Logan Paul in the ring and possibly his brother Jake Paul.
“This year I will focus on several exhibitions. I will have an exhibition in Tokyo, Japan again. Of course the one with Logan Paul and I ; and if Jake Paul can get past his next opponent Ben Askren, I will have an exhibition with him as well,” Floyd captioned his post.
“I also heard that 50 cent would fight me but claims I’m too small. If he wants to lace up at the end of the year, we can do an exhibition then. I don’t care about weight class with any of these guys. The Paul brothers will make great money with the events, but with 50 cent It has to be ‘Winner Take All.’”
With Floyd officially throwing the gauntlet down, 50, staying true to his brand, went for the jugular and mentioned Floyd’s reading ability as the newest reason why he won’t face off with his former friend.
“The fight is off because Floyd can’t read 2 paragraphs of my New York Times best seller (Hustle Harder Hustle Smarter) on IG live,” 50 tweeted.
So, who knows when we’ll get an actual fight or reconciliation from these two but if either of those happen, we’ll keep you posted.
