Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups are probably one of the most famous sweet treats of all time, but the company recently revealed a big change to the product that consumers have grown to love. Reese’s recently announced the introduction of a new version of its fan-favorite Peanut Butter Cup…without any chocolate.
According to CNN, Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups are popular for their sweet and satisfying mixture of peanut butter and chocolate, so if you prefer peanut butter, Reese’s has answered your prayers. The Reese’s Ultimate Peanut Butter Lovers Cup, which is completely made of peanut butter on the inside and out, will be available in April.
The move to Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup is the first in the company’s 90-year history. While previous versions of the Peanut Butter Lovers Cup were released in 2019 and 2020, both of those versions featured some chocolate.
Margo Mcllvaine, Reese’s Brand Manager, addressed the famous candy’s all-peanut butter version. “While launching a Reese’s Cup with absolutely no chocolate might come as a shock, we’re giving the truest peanut butter fans something to go wild about,” she said.
The original launch of the Peanut Butter Lovers Cup was timed to coincide with National Peanut Butter Day on March 1st, according to Reese’s. The product will, however, be available for a limited time in April in regular, king, and miniature sizes for fans to try.
