Rich The Kid has had his fair share of legal issues in the past year, and it appears that his legal troubles aren’t going away anytime soon. He’s in trouble with the TSA again: the rapper was detained at an airport on Monday afternoon after he was caught carrying a gun through surveillance.
Rich The Kid was going through security at LAX when TSA agents found a concealed weapon in his carry-on bag, according to TMZ. They discovered it was a loaded gun after further investigation and arrested him on the spot. According to the paper, it’s unclear if police have processed his case or whether he’s still being held somewhere.
Rich The Kid was facing a slew of litigation in 2020 before he was busted at LAX. He allegedly signed a contract with Fashion Nova in 2018 and was given a $100,000 advance, but he took the money without fulfilling his promotional obligations. Last October, Fashion Nova retaliated by filing a lawsuit against him for $2.1 million in damages.
Rich had previously been forced to pay $1.1 million to former managers who said they hadn’t been compensated in three years. He was also hit with a complaint over a $250,000 unpaid jewelry bill, as well as a $300,000 rent arrears on a mansion in Holywood Hills.
