Despite the fact that Joe Biden has already won the presidency and is just getting started, he plans to run for re-election in 2024!
Biden made it clear to reporters during his first formal White House press conference on Thursday that he plans to run again, despite rumors that the oldest person to hold the office will step down after a single term.
“My hopes are to run for re-election,” the 78-year-old said. That’s what I’m hoping for.” He added that he is a “great respecter of destiny” and that he hasn’t made any firm plans yet.
Naturally, he said that he “absolutely expects” Vice President to be by his side when the time comes.
Biden also discussed a slew of other major issues, including immigration and how he isn’t looking for “confrontation with China.”
