Marilyn Manson’s suspected past wrongdoings have finally caught up with him. The Gilford Police Department in New Hampshire announced on Tuesday that the singer was the subject of an arrest warrant for assault charges stemming from an incident in 2019. TMZ claims that during a concert at the Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion on August 18, 2019, Manson allegedly spits into a camera that was part of the venue’s feed. The videographer who was behind the camera also says that some of the singer’s saliva fell on them, prompting them to file a police report.
The Gilford Police Department says Manson will face two counts of simple assault for the incident. In a statement they shared on Tuesday, the police department said Manson and his representatives “have been aware of the warrant for some time and no effort has been made by him to return to New Hampshire to answer the pending charges.” He could potentially spend two years in prison and face a $4,000 fine as a result of the charges.
Officials have made it clear that the warrant they received had nothing to do with the sexual harassment charges against Manson that have allegedly been investigated by the Los Angeles County Sheriff Department and the FBI in recent months. Actress Esme Bianco recently filed a lawsuit against Manson, alleging sex trafficking and harassment.
