Drake is an enthusiastic basketball lover in addition to being one of the most renowned rappers in the world. His passion for the game is evident, from his numerous appearances courtside at Toronto Raptors games to hooping with NBA players and friends at the basketball court he built inside his Toronto estate. So it’s no surprise that the rapper paid a visit to LeBron James’ kid, Bronny James, at a game on Friday night.
After missing the majority of the season due to surgery for a torn meniscus, Bronny made his sophomore year debut with the Sierra Canyon School’s high school basketball squad. Drake’s passion for the game was evident during an altercation with a referee during a game versus Corona Centennial High School. Some in attendance caught video of the exchange, which shows Drake apparently irritated by whatever the referee did. The dialogue didn’t take long, and the rapper was back in his seat in a matter of seconds.
Drake attended the game alongside LeBron James, JR Smith, Jared Dudley, his son Adonis, and others. In the video for his 2019 hit “Money In The Grave,” which he co-wrote with Rick Ross, Drake wore a Bronny James jersey. Bronny’s Sierra Canyon team was defeated by Corona Centennial by a score of 80-72 in the game.
