Ice-T is a lot of things, but one of them is that he isn’t prepared to put up with people’s nonsense. Especially in regards to him. It’s also what makes the rapper and TV personality a fantastic poster on social media, and he’s not hesitant to say precisely what he thinks about criticism directed at him.
On Thursday, the Law and Order star was answering questions on social media in response to a post about his previous TV and film performances. The article emphasized on the diversity of their roles, which ranged from police officer to henchman.
T himself responded to a reader who queried why the actor has played cops in the past, noting that the job is “heavy” whether he has a badge or not.
Another follower questioned why people are always upset about him playing cops on TV, and T then made it clear: only “squares” care that he has played a police officer on TV.
“I don’t really get ANY flack from REAL players in the Streets,” T wrote. “They understand and respect the Hustle…. Just the occasional SQUARE talking sh*t. F em.”
It’s difficult to argue with that, especially because he’s the one who chooses these jobs. Despite his general meme status as Tutuola, he’s had a long acting career and has played a variety of characters. If he says they have the same attitude and mood, you’ll have to take his word for it in this case.
