The rapper’s funeral arrangements have already been revealed: It will take place on August 2nd at Patchogue Theatre For The Performing Arts in Patchogue, New York, where the rapper was born. The funeral will be broadcast live on BET from 11 a.m. until 3:30 p.m., according to Greater Long Island.
“Biz Markie touched the world with his infectious smile, amazing energy, and hip hop hits,” According to Revolt, the announcement states. “Best known for his Top 40 tune ‘Just A Friend,’ as well as his regular appearance on Yo Gabba Gabba! He lit up every room he entered and every song he played.”
The service’s eulogy will be delivered by Reverend Al Sharpton, as he mentioned in a recent Twitter post. There will also be performances from Fat Joe, Big Daddy Kane, LL Cool J, and members of the Juice Crew, who were all friends of the late rapper.
