Big Sean has been the target of jokes for years about his rap moniker not quite matching his physical height. However, in a recent social media post, the Detroit rapper boasted that he’d literally grown into his moniker. Sean challenged in the video, “How da f*ck I grow 2 inches?” That’s how: twice a week at the chiropractor for a year. That’s how, with a straight spine. Because it’s true, I’m laughing.”
Sean also stands next to a friend in the video, pointing out their similarities, just in case his viewers didn’t believe him. He wrote, “My n**** Ronnie 5’10”, “solid.” “Look at me next to him, b*tch,” I said. N****s try to make fun of me like I’m 5’6′′. I probably gained a couple of inches, to be honest.”
Sean has become an advocate for healthy living, emphasizing the importance of mental health education in a recent interview with Apple Music and speaking extensively on his own experiences in the lead-up to the release of his album Detroit 2. In addition, he recently became the Detroit Pistons’ new “creative director of innovation” and will appear on the revival of MTV’s Cribs along with Rick Ross, Martha Stewart, and more.
