Jennifer Coolidge is unrivaled in her ability to play iconic character performers. The blonde, often-bouffanted actress, who is best known for her appearances in Legally Blonde, American Pie, Two Broke Girls, and the new HBO series The White Lotus, has made a career out of playing strong women with little shame or self-awareness. Her natural talent at portraying unrealistic trophy spouses has gotten her a lot of accolades over the years, and it could even give her an advantage in landing a big part Coolidge believes she’s ready for: Melania Trump.
Following several individuals noticing similarities between the actress and the former first lady on social media, Coolidge was asked in an interview with The Guardian if she’d ever considered playing Melania Trump in a biopic. Coolidge says she’s ready to sign up for the torture, despite her amusement at how Melania could handle it.

l complement. [laughs] Where do I sign? Melania, on the other hand, I’m sure would be disappointed.
Coolidge was then asked what other types of projects and genres she was interested in outside of her typical work, to which she replied, “a serious play,” followed by, “and then the Melania biography, of course.”
While Coolidge was undoubtedly exaggerating her responses in order to provide us with some much-needed chuckles during her interview, it wouldn’t be the first time a celebrity has manifested a part simply by expressing interest in it. Let’s hope the proper someone catches her interest in the part and gets to work on the cathartic Trump-era comedy we all need, because Melania Coolidge sounds great.
